Britax Safe-n-Sound Maxi Guard™ Harnessed Car Seat

We recently turned our 2 yr old forward facing in dads car; we upgraded him to an extended harnessing seat to ensure his ongoing safety! We have been thrilled with the fit and incredibly generous height markers; mr 2 just reaches the entry markers and I can see him staying harnessed until 8! *i wouldn’t recommend for a child younger than 2, due to best practise.

We have just bought the Britax Maxi Guard and are in love. It is light weight and so easy to install. Install is done in a matter of seconds and once in, you can have the child sit in and adjust the straps to their right height with the amazing easy adjust. It puzzles in well with 3 across and the kids say it is comfortable. The only thing we might have issues with is the depth which is quite narrow, but we shouldn't see issues until little legs start growing.

I have had this seat for some time now and absolutely love it, my son also loves it. Easy to use and great on room , being able to easily adjust the head rest is such a time saver and love all the safety features , would highly recommend this seat to anyone

We have two of these restraints, used by our 22 month old and 3.5yr old children. We are very happy with them. WE LOVE: Slim width means we can fit three seats across the backseat. Installation was extremely simple. The Easy Adjust Headrest allows us to use the restraints with a variety of different sized children (friends, cousins etc) and ensures correct fit is not a hassle. Six Point Harness until 8 years old means that even when our toddler turns 4, she will not go into a booster seat and therefore, we will not have to search between the car seats for the seat belt buckle every time she gets in the car. Recline position makes a more comfortable sleeping position for long car trips. WE DON’T LOVE: If the harness is fitted tightly and correctly, my youngest child can’t lean forward far enough to reach into the storage pocket. CREP testing hasn’t yet been completed for this restraint. We are very interested to know it's protection performance. OTHER INFORMATION OF INTEREST: Our car, with the two seats inside, was written off in a crash. The car seats still looked perfect, however as a safety precaution, they needed to be destroyed. We applied to Britax’s Car Seat Crash Exchange Program for replacements and had our application approved within 24 hours of them receiving our paperwork. Two brand new car seats arrived at our door at absolutely no cost to us. Their service was amazing. We were so happy we had purchased seats with this option.

We bought this seat for our 4yo as we wanted to keep her in a harness for as long as possible. So far we have been very impressed. Great seat, fabric is lovely and she stays nice and cool. Very easy to install. My daughter seems very comfortable in the seat and we haven't had any head flopping forward issues when she sleeps with the recline.

I bought this for my son when he was 4. He loves it, he can sleep in it great and he feels safe in the 5 point harness. We lovely the seat.

I purchased 2 maxi guards recently after finding out I was expecting my third. I did a lot of research to find seats suitable for 3 across but also safe for my 2 older children. My daughter is currently using hers at 4.5 and has a lot of room before she meets the exit markers. This seat was very easy to install and get the seat adjusted to my daughters size. After installing many seats, this would be one of the easiest by far! Being able to adjust the seat harness heights and headrest without uninstalling the seat is a massive positive for me. As I will have 2 in the maxi guards, it means they can pop into either seat and I cannot easily adjust to whoever is sitting in the car. The seat is nice and slim width wise meaning it's a great choice for those needing to fit 3 across. The seat is affordable and has great markers so it won't be a waste of money as your child should easily get good use from this seat. This seat despite being slim doesn't feel restricting at all for either of my children. The only con I have for this seat is the recline on it ... after both my children starting out in infasecure seats, I've gotten very used to them having amazing recline in forward facing modes. But in saying that, it is only a con in comparison as we haven't noticed head flop in recline mode in the maxi guard.

I bought this seat earlier this year and I love it so far! My son loves it also. He falls asleep easily in it as its very comfortable and has a slight recline so that his head doesn't flop forward. I love the fact that this seat converts into a booster seat when he's ready to swap to a seat belt. I also love the fact that is has AHR. It gives me reassurance that hes as safe as possible. I would definitely recommend this carseat.

I have a 4.5 and 2.5 year old both using this seat and find it perfect for both age groups. Being able to keep my children harnessed as long as possible was one of the main reasons for choosing this seat. Highly recommend for ease of adjusting harness height also.

Had it for 12 months and love it! My son always looks comfy and can fall asleep comfortably in it. Easy adjust harness is a fantastic feature. Would recommend every time!
