Philips Avent Powdered Milk Dispenser

I used this every time I went out. It was convenient, simple to use and not bulky in nappy bag. Bought a second one.

Compared with cheaper brands, the avent is more superior in quality and attachment. With 3 measured compartments for formula (or protein suppliments), this will be suffice for a day trip out with the babe, or overnight sleepovers. It has a middle layer to dissasemble for cleaning, and pops into the dishwasher with ease.

Love that this can be used for formula for bub + protein powder after the gym for mum or as a snack container with or without the compartment insert!

Before I had a baby, I owned one for my protein powder. I know that sounds silly but I didn't really want to carry a whole tub with me everywhere, it just perfectly fitted a scoop in each compartment. We are mostly breastfeeding except for the days I'm at work, my baby might get a bottle or two and this is great in making my mum's life easier. Before I leave home, I pre-dispense the water into Avent Glass bottles and the correct formula scoops into the milk dispenser so all mum has to do is warm the water for a short time and dispense the milk. She likes that it's more time efficient and she doesn't need to calculate or put her glasses on to see (HAHA!). It's easy to clean, I put it in the dishwasher or clean by hand. I'm curious as to why the compartment for the powder dettaches from the outer container but I'm sure there's a reason.

If you are bottle feeding your baby this item is a must. I have three of them in fact. All you do is scoop your required amount of formula into the allocated compartments and when ready to feed tip into the bottle. I fill two of them up at the start of the day and then have 6 servings of formula ready to go for each feed for the day. Also great to take out and about.

We chose the avent brand dispenser over cheaper and generic brands over hearing the seal can be a bit faulty. As this was to live in the baby bag, you want good quality products and not to come back to a bag full of 36million particles of formula. You do pay a bit more for this compared to other generic brands, but thats a few dollars I am happy to part with for quality. 3 compartments for either 3 feeds in the early stages, or to equally split/portion out a feed. Due to the size, it could practically fit enough formula in each compartment until approx 6 months of age (weight depending) until you would require to use more than one compartment for a single feed. Comes in other colours so you can coordinate as required. Once you're finished, feel free to use the container for protein powder and/or pre workout where you can switch between parent and fitness buff and impress all your friends.

Going out with bubs isn't easy, but this dispenser makes it so much less stressful. 3 compartments, which do not leak into each other. Easy to pour spout, meaning no mess and missing the bottle. Easy to open and clean. I tried 3 other milk dispensers before finding this perfect dispenser....6 months later I still always recommend it.

I bought this dispenser a few weeks back after deciding to formula feed my newborn. I already had a Difrax formula dispenser and decided to try others on the market to see which worked best. While the Avent dispenser is functional and securely holds the formula, I really had to shake and tap the dispenser to get the formula out. It took multiple taps to get all the formula into the bottle. So too, when refilling the dispenser, the opening to each compartment was quite small and therefore you had to be quite careful and precise. For me, if I were to buy another dispenser it would be the Difrax one - easier to fill, easier to pour into a bottle and less bulky for the baby bag.

I bought this formula dispenser with my first child thinking that it was such a brilliant idea, instead of pre-making the milk and then we might not even use it before it goes a bit too long to safely use. But when I tried using it, the design of it just seemed a bit off. Due to the shape of the compartments, it does become a bit of an effort to get all of the formula out. It got to the point where I had to overcompinsate the amount of formula I put in the compartments simply because I knew that some of the formula would be left in the dispenser. If someone was to have their heart set on an item like this, I would advise one that is completely round or has a more accessible opening. Like I said, the idea of the formula dispenser is fantastic for those bottle feeding on the go Mums and Dads- but don't necessarily get the well known brand or more expensive one as the lessor known ones have the same great idea but with a more practical execution. We have this in our house and it is one of the most functional baby formula dispensers. We have got the one that stacks onto each other...and somehow they unscrew in your bag. Also purchased cheaper brands from Kmart which don't seal properly. This dispenser also holds enough for my toddlers bottle when we travel.

Easily one of our most used, needed and essential baby items when using formula! When my daughter is screaming for milk it is easy to get frazzled and lose count of the scoops so we use the dispenser for every feed not just when out and about. I fill it up when she's napping or at a less rushed time so that I can ensure I counted correctly and if I do lose count I can just start over because it isn't into the water yet. Highly recommend to formula parents. It seals the powder in firmly, seals each section individually and great for in the nappy bag for when your out and about and need to make bottles on the go just carry bottles with the right amount of water with you.

I brought this when I started bottle feeding my 3rd son & I wish I'd known about it sooner! I love that I can grab it & go & know that all feeds are made to measure. I has been a life saver when making night feeds, because It's so hard to count scoops while calming a baby when sleep deprived!

This product makes formula feeding really easy when out and about. Now my son no longer uses formula we still are able to use the container for his snacks by removing the divider insert from the inner container.
