A must have during my 3rd trimester
Reviewed on 19 November 2017
During my third trimester I suffered from an unstable pelvis (SPD) which was extremely painful at times and I required crutches and a walking frame to walk at times. My physio recommended a pregnancy support belt to help tighten my pelvis up.and relieve pressure. I tried the new beginnings support belt and it was almost instant relief when wearing. The tight pressure around my pelvis felt good and enabled me to walk much easier. I even managed to go on gentle bushwalks whilst wearing it. It was visible under tight clothing and due to gaining extra weight and having love handles it stood out a bit more on me but that didn't bother me as it gave relief when I otherwise couldn't walk. I found I also needed to use the support belt after giving birth as my lower back was extremely painful and my pelvis took about 6-8 weeks to recover. I still sometimes use the belt 18 months on for my lower back just to provide a little support
