Dreambaby F170 Chelsea Xtra-Wide Hallway Auto-Close Security Gate

I had bought two other safety gates before this one (which I had to buy extensions for on top of the gate itself) but the design were flawed on the other ones. This Dreambaby F170 extra wide was perfect for my hallway as well as wide door way. They are really stable, easy for my older kids to use and easy to assemble and set up. I have and will continue to recommend this product!

We have an open layout house which means there is not door to seperate the living and dining from the kitchen. The space of the hallway we wanted to cordon off was also really wide (about 2 meters) which made finding this product the best thing ever. The size of this gate is customisable as there are various sizes to the extensions to suit different needs. It is also impossible for our toddler to open the gate as it requires lifting which is an important feature that unfortunately not all security gates have. Our toddler does shake at it quite rigorously every now and then but it is pretty solid and so far its still standing strong. For something that is pressure mounted I'm pretty impressed as eliminating the need for drilling holes in our wall and kitchen cabinet was definitely one of the most important deciding factors in getting this gate. The gate comes in two colours (black and white) to suite whatever your the colour theme of your house is. We have received quite a few compliments on this gate. Can't recommend this enough.

We had a wide landing at the top of our stairs and this was a good, cost effective option. It doesn't look as good as a custom made door, but there are not many options for wide openings. The locking mechanism is difficult for children to open, so worked well for us.
