Thankfully we've never had to test how well our dear son is protected in a car accident, but you can FEEL the quality of this seat and be comforted that precious cargo is in the best seat of the vehicle.

I got this for my second turned 3 months as he outgrow his capsule. I have tried many brands and I must say it's the best. Not only easy to install and adjust height and seat belt. Very comfortable for my baby. The iso fix is a must as it's much more easier to install. The seat I'd quite generous and holds baby nice and tight while having alot of padding

Can’t get better!

After a rediculous amount of research we decided on the platinum pro for our 8 month old now that she has outgrown her capsule- the platinum pro by far has exceeded our expectations. It is stylish, looks SO comfy for our little girl and has so much integrated safety features. The SICT is second to none, the integrated head rest / harness makes life so much easier. My only suggestion would be make sure it will fit in your car before purchasing as it is quite a large seat (this is not a bad thing as it has so much technology and safety features packed into it!).

Extended rear facing!!

I bought this car seat 7 months ago for my son. It’s fantastic for long drives and it’s extended rear facing which is perfect for what we wanted it for. It looks and feels extremely safe. Only down side is you need a large car, especially now my son is getting bigger and the head rest needs adjusting higher it makes less space for the passenger but it’s worth knowing my son is safe.

I absolutely love this car seat. Its expensive but I think its absolutely worth it. The saftey features and I love the bamboo fabric making it cooler and more comfortable for baby. Very easy to adjust with the height as baby gets bigger and love the easy recline

Can’t fault it

The extra safety features, particularly side impact that this seat offers and the sales assistants recommendations lead to my purchase. I wasn’t interested in a capsule and glad I didn’t bother as you cope for those few months. I have a small car (Astra) and have no issues with fitting it in nor getting baby (now 13 mths old) in and out of it. We are still using this rear facing and hope to get as long as possible in this position. This is a peace of mind purchase and whisky not the cheapest on the market have no regrets in investing in this.

Comfy, Cool & Safe

After a stupid amount of research I decided on the Plaitinum Pro from birth. So happy with our decision as our little one was always snug and comfy and unlike the velour fabric on the spare car seat in grandmas car, the bamboo fabric was soft and he didnt come out a sweat ball (even through the hot summer in QLD!). Our very tall boy stayed rear facing in it until 2 happily and my mind was at rest knowing I was doing the safest thing possible for him. When his baby sister came along a couple of months ago we thought a capsule would be easier from birth - wrong! She screamed blue murder and sweated up a storm, so at 6 weeks old, off we went to buy another one of these again and she’s been so much happier since!

I bought this for my youngest and I absolutely love it. The rearward facing is fantastic. He used to whinge during car rides but after we purchased this he loves it. The iso fix makes installation much more easier. Very easy to recline or to adjust the height as baby grows. Just a pull at the top and the height is adjusted. We recently let him ride forward facing and it's easy to transition for rearward to forward. Love the extra cushioning and padding for extra comfort. The fabric keeps him cooler in summer too.

Perfect for long trips (and short)

We have had this car seat from birth for our eldest. We are due with our second soon and will be purchasing the same seat for this baby. Originally coming from a hotter more rural climate, the seat fabric was a bonus and baby didn't overheat like many of our friend's babies who were in capsules. Being rural we spent a lot of time in the car and we have always had 100% confidence in this seat. As it had the extra removable padding in the seat we were able to keep her rearward facing (and thus safer) for longer. We use the ISOfix function and this has made transferring the seat between cars a breeze. The structure of the padding also makes cleaning the seat easy, especially where the is a 'baby blowout'. The only con that we found was that, even though this car seat is suitable from birth, her head was not fully supported for the first month, however this was the case with all other seats and we were able to create a safe work around until she was a little bigger. We would recommend this seat to friends and family, and say that the extra $ is worth it!

We bought this car seat shortly after having my son, we originally had him in a capsule but we found he would overheat quickly in the confined area the capsule offered. Upon changing him to the Britax Platinum Pro he was immediately more comfortable and much cooler. We purchased the Grey car seat and he keeps cool and dry in summer and warm in winter thanks to the beautiful soft fabric, which also cleans up wonderfully. It is extremely easy to install, especially if your car is fitted with ISOFIX, we followed an instructional video Britax have uploaded to YouTube. It is also very easy to get bub in and out off with 2 easy adjustable straps to fasten. Adjusting the height to accommodate a growing bub is also as simple as pulling a tab and sliding the head rest up. We bought this seat after doing lots of research and found this car seat offered superior crash protect,especially side impact. We also liked the crash replacement policy Britax offer with their seats, it gave us great peace of mind when spending a considerable amount on this item. This car seat offered 0~4yrs and 0~2yrs rear facing(depending on height), rear facing has been proven to be the safest way for small children to travel in the event of an accident, the ability to have our child rear facing for as long as possible was a massive selling point for us. Over all we love this product! WE will continue to use Britax car seats in the future once he grows out of this one and also for our growing family, could not recommend this product enough!

Worth the investment

We purchased the Britax SafenSound Platinum PRO for our toddler son. We are incredibly safety conscious and wanted a seat in which he could be rear facing for as long as possible. This is achievable with this seat and he was comfortably rear facing to 20 months. He is now forward facing , super comfortable and above all secure. We intend to purchase this car seat for our daughter. The Platinum PRO is pricey but worth the investment.

What a great carseat!

This is an amazing carseat! Our son looks incredibly comfortable in it, and as a result, our car trips are much more comfortable! The fabric is super soft and breathable, and I have no problems with it being next to my son's skin. The shoulder pads are nicely padded, but not too bulky. The 5 point harness is easy to use as well. There are removable inserts to keep babies of all ages and sizes comfortable and safe. The side "airbags" on each side of the seat are great for peace of mind! However, the main reason I love this seat is that the baby can be rear facing fora long time, my 13 month old is still rear facing! I love this 0-4yr old seat and I would definitely recommend this seat to first time parents.

Great for baby's safety

My husband and I searched everywhere for the most suitable car seat for our baby that was on the way. I was looking for one that not only met Australian standards but our own. It needed to have side impact, breathe fabric, comfortable cushion seating and my husband wanted one that has ISoFix restraints to use in our SUV we upgraded too. We bought this car seat and never regretted the money we spent for our child's safety. Recommend this car seat for all!

We needed a second seat for my husbands car and wanted the best brand we could purchase! The things we love about this seat are the head protectors, the moisture wicking bamboo fabric (being in melbourne we can have hot summer days) and the handy buckle holders on the sides! My only complaint is it doesn't come in adult size...!

I love this car seat, I feel that my baby is safe in it. I love the support around his head, the sidepads. Great colour choices, the size isn't an issue as we have a large car. I want our next baby to have one of these as well but I don't think we can afford it unfortunately.

The Rolls Royce of Car Seats!

We've had this car seat for a year and a half. It's a great car seat and looks extremely comfortable for baby with plenty of padding and luxurious features. Our little girl has always been happy in this seat and has never complained of being uncomfortable. When rear facing the seat is very roomy and there's definitely room for you to keep your child rear facing for a long time. It does take up a lot of room rear facing and we found in our Hyundai Tucson that we needed to have the front passenger seat forward quite a bit to fit it in. Also it's quite a wide seat so if you have three car seats I don't think they'd fit across. Front facing has different recline options and the seat is nice and high so Bub can see out the window. We have isofix in our car and the attachment seems so much safer than the normal method. The seat looks sturdy and we feel confident our little girl is safe when travelling in it which is the most important thing to us. Overall this seat works really well for us and fits our needs and we will definitely be getting another one for baby number 2 who is on the way.

Excellent seat

This seat is fantastic and it is definitely a true extended rear facing seat. My 2 year old is 90cm tall and still fits easily within the rear facing markers. The seat appears comfortable and washes up well. I will warn that if you have a very small car or are trying to fit 3 across in a normal car this probably isn't the seat for you. It is on the bulkier side when compared to the Infa-secure Quattro. To be on its own in the back or with just one other seat though you won't have any drama fitting it in. If you own a Toyota Hilux 2013 model please be aware you will need to purchase an extender strap to rear face with this seat.
