I relied very heavily on nipple shields and being one of the more affordable types, I gave these a go. They were really uncomfortable from the get go, they are a thicker material and aren't really mouldable. They just did not sit correctly to the shape of my breast and kept flicking upwards as my son was attached and would cause him to come off/on/off/on (and milk was leaking downwards). I always had them as a spare however never relied on these ones.

During the early days of breastfeeding these were a godsend! I began my journey with no idea on how to get my baby to latch; this caused me some serious nipple damage! These little babies gave me the ability to continue to nourish my baby and continue building my supply whilst not suffering from excruciating pain and allowing my nipples to heal. This fabulous product also helped me understand how far to open babies mouth in order form him to latch properly, allowing us to transition back to the breast with no pain and a new found knowledge! I would highly recommend these as a back up or for those tough times during the first few weeks of breastfeeding your baby!

I used them with my 2nd breastfed baby after allowing my nipples to heal somewhat after significant damage to them which involved bleeding. They were still sore and tender but not bleeding anymore, but I found these did not really help. Baby sucking on these over the nipples hurt just as much. Though my baby had a slight tongue tie, my nipple didn’t sit right into it and it slipped off easily - hence it hurt, and so I gave up as my baby got frustrated from not being able to get milk out through it. I didn’t try it again even after my nipples healed, so I never gave it a real shot. It could work for someone else without my factors, I don’t know.

1st time breast feeding and about the 3rd day I wanted to give up, but using these for a couple days let my nipples heal and I fed for 12 months after that! Well worth getting for 1st time mums.

For any of those mums that had trouble latching their baby and suffered from sore cracked nipples, this item is a must. It is slim line so doesn’t cover baby’s face and provides as much skin to skin as possible. I used other brands first but none were as compact or discreet as this one. Put one in your hospital bag, I wish I had of.

I was gifted these and remember thinking, OMG is this baby going to chew my boobs off! Well I couldnt have been more correct. 24 hours into what was supposed to be an amazing experience I had cracked ad bleeding nipples. 3 days later I wanted to give up breastfeeding. That was until my sister who gave me the original nipple protectors visited and promptly went and got me a second set to use immediately! After a few feeds we had them figured out and the relief they bought was perfect. Within 3 days of use my nipples were well on their way to recovery. My baby way feeding well and satisfied and I DIDN'T give up breastfeeding instead I made it almost 7 months!

After days trying in the hospital with no luck, losing confidence and thinking I would not be able to breastfeed and midwife finally recommended these nipple shields. Bubs was born 5 weeks prem and had trouble latching but with these he was straight on and able to feed! I made sure I had lots of them and used them at home for a good 4 months. They also helped with pain. Highly recommend them to everyone who's about to embark on their breastfeeding journey :-)

These nipple protectors were the biggest help with my breastfeeding journey, as my son couldn’t latch and I used these for 2 months they were comfortable and easy to clean also simple to use because of these I was able to breastfeed

When i breast feed all 3 of my children these saved me the first few weeks are the hardest i tried feeding my first with out them and got saw brused and cracked nipples. So i bought these and it gave time for my nipples to heal and milk to come in good, if it wasnt for them i wouldn't have been able to breast feed as long as i did. Ive also hurd of woman with inverted nipples using them so they are able to breast feed.

Everyone has different experiences, but for me, these were brilliant. My baby had difficulty latching and resulted in dry, cracked and bleeding nipples. These have enabled them to heal, and my baby to gain more milk flow from each feed. I love the groove to enable bub to have her nose and chin still pressed skin to skin.

I used these when first starting breast feeding while my nipples were adjusting and were very sore and cracked. My baby took it no problems however I did find they didn't stick on well so it was another thing to try to negotiate when learning to breast feed. It did help give my nipples a chance to heal. The ones I thought were the right fit initially my midwife said weren't, so make sure to get some advice on the right fit before you start.

When I had my son I was desperate to breastfeed but was struggling due to having inverted nipples so I tried everything. I found these to be great in theory but not in practice. They just didn't do what I needed them to do. I found them easy to clean and sterilise. Just because they didn't work on me doesn't mean they won't on others. Everyone's different but I'd recommend giving them a go.

These breast shields were a life saver when I had sore cracked nipples. I had to pump for a few days as my nipples were so damaged from my baby munching on them and they were very painful but my midwife suggested I try these. It made such a difference, I was able to feed him without the pain. I was sceptical that it would even make a difference so I was pleasantly surprised when I tried these.

What a great design. Made feeding so much more pleasant without the sore nipples or using nipple cream. A must have for every feeding mummy ❤

The nipple shields are quite thick making it more difficult for bub to latch. The thicker guard around the outside also makes it harder it for the shield to "stick" to your breast and so you often need to hold it in place while trying to latch your baby, which can be quite difficult. There are definitely better shields on the market
