Philips Avent Comfort Manual Breast Pump

$99.95
When you’re comfortable and relaxed, your milk flows easily.

That is why together with mums and baby feeding experts, we have created our most comfortable breast pump yet.

The breast pump has a unique design, so your milk flows directly from your breast into the bottle, even when you are sitting up straight. This means you can sit more comfortably when pumping: no need for you to lean forward to make sure all your milk ends up in the bottle.

Our massage cushion has a new soft velvety texture that gives a warm feel to the skin for comfortable, gentle stimulation of your milk flow. During pumping, it gently mimics your baby's suckling for natural let down and clinically proven effectiveness. The soft massage cushion is designed to comfortably fit the majority of moms. Should you need it, a larger size cushion is available separately (optional size available in large).

The breast pump has a compact design, which makes it easy to position. Its ergonomically shaped handle offers a comfortable hold and full control when expressing milk. Being small and lightweight means it is easy to store and transport, making pumping on-the-go more discreet.

The wide breast shaped nipple promotes natural latch on similar to the breast, making it easy for your baby to combine breast and bottle feeding.

This breast pump can be used in combination with other feeding products in the Philips Avent range, including our Classic bottles and milk storage containers. Philips Avent also provides a range of breast care accessories to help you breastfeed for longer and enhance your comfort.

Awesome pump!

These pumps are the best. The most comfortable to use, the short neck can be placed right next to the breast. They also get the most milk without making my hand tired. The only disadvantages are that they are somewhat harder to assemble, can't accommodate different nipple sizes, require special Avent shaped bottles (usually included) and drip small amounts of milk from the cushion. Still, the assembly difference is small, and I can learn to control milk dripping from the cushion. Comfort and milk matter most to me, so I enjoy this pump the most. If, heaven forbid, I need a seventh breast pump, I will buy another one of these.

This is great and easy to use helps me express easily. But after a while your hand gets tired easily and the suction attachment to breast gets abit hard to stay on. But overall very good for a easy express and milk storage. Easy to clean as well

I had this with my first although its easy to use and works well if you do not have the time i find electric better. I found this just a tad time consuming but your hand does get a work out if you want strong hands

Easy to use

I am very uncomfortable when breastfeeding outside. I always express my milk before going out and philips manual breast pump is very handy for those times. It is easy to use and does not feel uncomfortable during expressing. I used to do expressing with my hands before which used to be very painful and also it used to take very long to express a reasonable amount of milk. But this pump has solved my most of the problems and is extremely useful for a breastfeeding mother and has made my life very easy.

Simple and effective

I have nothing to compare this pump to but I can say the comfort insert is effective for releasing milk in a comfortable manner. I had a bit of trouble expressing when my milk first came in but it was a lifesaver when I needed relief and my baby waa still asleep. Expressing got me through a funeral in the early weeks and as a single stay at home mum there was no need for me to spend hundreds on an electric pump. I loved that the pump would attach to bottles or Avent freezer safe containers. It's very easy to clean.

Works as advertised

I bought this for my first born (now 3) after we discovered she wasn't latching. At the time we were short on cash and this was the cheapest option in my rural/regional area (I'm unsure of costs for other brands). It worked well for me, it took a little time to figure out how to get the most efficient way of using it every time, but that likely is due to having a new product. Using the pump handle can become uncomfortable for your hand, but you can easily swap hands. And if you do find it a bit uncomfortable, stop and readjust it. I'll admit anything on your breast isn't too comfortable, but this shouldn't hurt (unless you suffer mastitis) take the time to get it positioned right and you'll pump all day! It does take time, and I assume an electric pump would be faster, but for a cheap option it does the job well!

EXCELLENT PUMP... LIFE SAVER =)

This pump is very comfortable to use, and it is so light and portable. This pump can easily be fitted in a handbag. Very easy to clean and assemble. It's pretty quiet as well. I used it during my little one's nap time, didn't wake him up at all. I have no issue with taking it too long to pump, maybe this is because my flow is fast.

Needs more comfort.

I had an Avent Manual Breast Pump for both my 1st and 2nd children. This pump, to me personally, was quite uncomfortable and sometimes slightly painful to use. The pump action, with the dense rubber suction cup caused a pinching feeling over the area of breast it touched as well as nipple. And also the hard rubber suction cup itself was very uncomfortable. This had an unrealistic breast feeding feel.

Love this Pump
Reviewed on 29 June 2017
This pump is such an improvement on the older styles and I much prefer it over other brands I have used previously. The massage cushion is my favourite feature; it is so comfortable, although I have occasionally had issues with maintaining suction if it isn't perfectly in place. The design of the pump does reduce the need to lean forward but as I have small breasts I still have to sit quite upright. All parts are easy to clean, it's easy to assemble and I like that it has a hygiene cap for travelling or storage.

Portable, comfortable, and so easy!
Reviewed on 20 June 2017
I've previously used an old style Avent electric pump, a Medela mini electric pump, a new (current) Avent electric pump and now this Avent manual pump. I must say, this manual pump is the fastest, easiest, most quiet pump of them all, and I love it! I love that you can go at your own pace. My flow is quite strong & fast, so using the manual pump, I can get the same amount of milk in half as much time as when using an electric. Biggest downside is that I get sore wrists & hand muscles from using it too often. Also, sometimes the handle squeaks, which is a bit annoying, but I think it bothers my husband more than it bothers me. :)

Most comfortable
Reviewed on 02 June 2017
I have been using Avent breast pumps for 10 years, both electric and manual. I have had 4 Avent breast pumps feeding my first 2 children for 8 months (1st child) and then 18 months (2nd child) after I returned to work. I have recently had my third child. I have had oversupply mastitis twice and the Avent breast pump has helped me express to reduce engorgement to be able to breastfeed comfortably. I have had a big milk supply with all 3 children and have been able to breastfeed and express together. My 2 older children love that I can express and they can feed the baby. I tried other brands of breast pumps but the Avent was the most comfortable, easiest breast pump that provided quick results yet was so natural to use. The carry bag was a huge selling point with being able to discreetly store the breast pump in the fridge at work without being obvious and for travelling.

Great pump
Reviewed on 04 May 2017
I used this pump with my first born for 12 months and pumped once a day with it. It is easy to put together and more importantly easy to pull apart for easy and efficient cleaning. I found it comfortable to use and it worked very effectively for me. Probably the only thing that could be seen as a con is there is one really small part which is easy to misplace but of you keep it safe then it's not an issue :)
