Great travel stroller
We were thrilled to have received the Jet stroller to use and review, as we own and love our Silver Cross Wave pram. One thing that stood out most is its folded dimensions (folds smaller than its biggest competitor), and how it is able to be fit into the overhead cabin and under the seat of most airlines! If you have travelled long haul with your little one, you would know and dread the waiting at the airport with your stroller-less, cranky, wriggly baby/toddler way past their bedtime, and also hoping with all your might that the airline do not lose or damage your stroller upon checking in. With the Jet now, we can't wait to plan our trip overseas and have a less stressful time at the airport. In addition, the folding mechanism is also easy to use and quite intuitive - it took only one try for me to get it. Weighing at 5.9kg it is light enough for someone petite like me to lift and carry it. But wait, Silver Cross has also designed their detachable bumper bar to double as a "suitcase" holder to wheel around when folded, genius! Other plus points include great manoeuvrability - it is light yet sturdy and easily steered one-handed; has a wide and comfortable seat for my 18mo considering how small it folds; very generous shopping basket; and large UPF50+ sun protection hood with a ventilation mesh window just like their prams, definitely something I'd consider an essential for my little one who gets hot easily. Raincover is also included. Now let's get to some downsides. It claims to be lie-flat and suitable from birth, although personally I wouldn't be comfortable using during the newborn stage as even at its most flat position, it still has a slight incline. My 18mo though would find it very comfy and as a compact stroller that reclines so much, I am quite impressed. Additionally, I would have preferred an easily accessible storage pouch, say, behind the seat/in the hood, to store some valuables and essentials such as my mobile and wallet. To conclude, it is a light and sturdy travel stroller which will fit most major long haul airlines carry-on baggage restrictions but please always double check beforehand. For us, additional features such as an amazing recline for naps; and ventilated, sun-protected large hood for travels to a tropical climate makes this stroller a great one.
