I have had my Ergo original for over 2 years, and I absolutely love it. I first bought the 360, but I didn’t find it offered the full support I needed for bubs, and as a nanny, this carrier lasts from newborn right up to 20kgs so it is suitable for all the kids in my care!

Not as good as I thought it would be

I had a BabyBjorn but I had read so many reviews on the ergo and how good it was so I brought one. It’s big, it’s bulky, it’s heavy, it’s not user friendly. The new born insert is horrible and hard to use. I watched a lot of YouTube videos on how to use it and I still never got the hang of it and it never felt comfortable. The only good thing about ergo is the hood but it always gets in the way, the pocket is great. The fabric fades after a wash too. I went back to using my BabyBjorn as it was easier and lighter and I felt baby was closer to me.

As a newborn and infant my son was so clingy it was a nightmare. I either had to sit on the couch all day and get nothing in the house done or let him scream. Then I bought the Ergobaby and my life changed! He was so settled in it and so happy. I could get my housework done, cook dinner, go for walks and he would happily sleep while I did all this. I even found Kanga baby which was an exercise class in which your kids were allowed to attend in their carriers. Definitely a life changer and I would highly recommend to any Mum

Great for you and bub!

I used this with my first bub from newborn stage and it was amazing. I mainly bought it as so many people said it didn't hurt their back, as other carriers had, and I completely agree with them! I used it from birth until he was 2 (he would still fit in it now) and it never hurt mine or my husbands backs. It was easy to use, easy to switch between users, and I know every baby is different, but my son loved it. I plan on using it with my second bub when he is born in a couple of months. The only negative I had is that the newborn insert is VERY hot. I am buying a sling for the early months with my second as there is no way I would use the infant insert for a summer baby. It's fine if they are born in winter, but in QLD any other time of the year it is too hot for the insert. But once they are out of needing that it is perfect 😊

Difficult to use

I bought this because I am quite a 'germaphobe' and did not want to put my baby in a trolley, plus when I am chasing after my 2 year old I need to be hands free. They are great positives with the carrier. However, when I am alone I find it extremely difficult to put the carrier on myself when I am out of the house. The clips on the back are hard to reach and I am always worried that in this process I'm squashing my baby. My second worry is that when I have her in the carrier she gets so warm. Even with just a nappy and singlet on she starts to sweat, so I find that I can't use this in summer at all outdoors. Perhaps when she is older than 6 months or in winter I may find it more useful.

I have this carrier in my library and my mums love it. Its easy to uses and suports healthy hip development. My sons hip displasuer dr form melbourne rch said my use of hip healthy cariers and cloth nappies helped my son avoid bracing for his milde displacia.

The ergo original is a fantastic baby carrier allowing you to keep your baby close while still having both hands free. Flexible enough to allow for carrying tiny newborns on your front right up to toddlers on your back. The ergo is easy and quick to get on and off by yourself and can easily be adjusted by the wearer for the perfect fit for adult and baby. It also folds up quite small making it portable and easy to carry around when not in use.

I bought this a couple of years ago, my daughter was born when my son was 12m + 2 weeks old so I needed all the help I could get when I was out and about! The Ergo Original meant I had a happy baby, being close to Mum and 2 free hands to deal with my 1 year old. I've got it stored away for my next baby and can't wait to use it again!

I really have found the ergobaby carrier so handy, when I need to shop and have my hands free, or even just for a walk. In particular I have found the carrier really valuable when I have been travelling in an airport. I would highly recommend it in these circumstances. Why did I not give the carrier 5 stars? With the original carrier, you almost need two people to help you get your little one out of the carrier. The top clips at the back and I find it hard to get him out of the carrier by myself. I would recommend a baby carrier that allows you to clip and unclip at the front for ease of access.

I have had an ergo carrier with all 3 of my children, they are by far the best carrier ive ever used. I have a very bad back and i've tried a few other carriers and this was the only one that did not cause pain. Quick and easy to put on, comfy for baby and myself, easy to do tasks while wearing baby. My newest baby almost 8 months always falls asleep in it, so when he is sooky it makes doing house hold dutys a breeze

I'm a mum that's always on the go go go! Running my own business this carrier makes it easier for me to keep going while 99% of the time bubby falls asleep. I've used this carrier for both my daughters and I couldn't live without it! As soon as they are in the Ergobaby, they fall soundly to sleep just by being close to me. Was particularly great for my youngest who had reflux and needed to be upright. Very comfortable and great for bonding with bub too. An absolute must have!

We loved our Ergobaby with our first baby... but our second baby was born only 2 years later and it was an absolute god-send at that time. It meant we could still have hands free for our toddler knowing our bub was safe, comfortable, close and secure in the ergo. He loved it and we loved it.

My little girl loves to breastfeed to sleep and this has been perfect! I can breast feed her to asleep, and get things done, like walk the dog. It's got a hood, which means no one can see me feeding and is super comfortably to wear. She is 16 months old and we still use the carrier everyday.

I have found this baby carrier the most comfortable, I am a physiotherapist and know how important it is to look after your back and this design allows for a lot of adjustment at the hips, shoulder and sides for comfort. You can change positions from front, back and side if needed and have your hands free with storage areas incorporated. I do find that the shoulder strap can be hard to reach to clip by yourself but it is achievable if cords long enough prior to putting on.

Second hand a still in great condition

I brought this second hand 2 months ago. Its still soft with padding easy to wash and great quality. It has 3 positions. I like baby facing front so she can watch the world go by. Quick to set up. Baby is comfy and feels secure. She enjoys being close to me. Used from newborn and plently more use still to go. Wonderul product i use it daily. Trips to the shops doing my house work baby flika falls asleep so easily.

My sister and I came across the ergo carrier at an Expo and fell in love at first try. I couldnt use a carrier because my Bubba was heavy and it killed my back but since the Ergo was purchased I was able to enjoy snuggles with my baby at any time, even when doing the washing. WINNER!

I was recommended the ergobaby carrier from a midwife before I had babies and am so glad I bought it! I used it with my two children up until they were 2.5! It was so easy to use, and I never had any back pain from 'wearing' my babies, even when they were much heavier- this is due to the design of the ergobaby carrier and the support if offers your back. Great product!!

I bought this carrier when my daughter was 6mo so I could get the cleaning done while she was going through the clingy stages of teething! It worked wonders and was so comfy to wear around the house. I had originally tried a cheaper one from Kmart which she absolutely hated so I was a bit skepticle about spending the money on this one but decided to go ahead and do it and I'm so glad I did! When she was 14 months we went on an overseas trip to Japan and took the carrier with us and it was a godsend having it. Didn't once hurt my back and we did ALOT of walking. We've just returned home from overseas again - we were in Thailand (she's now 20 months) and I thought it would be uncomfortable wearing her (I now back carry as she's far too big for my front) but surprisingly it wasn't and she loved it, she would stand behind me waiting to 'hop up' as she would say! All in all it's a great carrier especially for travelling or even just around the house so you can get that cleaning done with a clingy bubba!

The carrier does the job but for every pro I find a con Hands free with no back pain is hard to get adjusted so there is no back pain Awesome for those clingy days Makes shopping with a trolley easy but Bub would rather sit in the trolley (she's nosey) All in all it's good for when I need it but I would choose my pram as much as I can

We started our baby wearing journey with the purple version of this carrier. It was given to us by a friend who had adored it. We loved the support for our child who had knee issues. I love the pocket in the front and the hood was great. However as our child got bigger we had to find a more suitable carrier for our growing child. It is perfect for beginners though and those with smaller children.

We had this at the start of our babywearing journey. At that point I thought it's was amazing but as my daughter got bigger it became more uncomfortable. I loved the pocket on the front and the hood is fine. It's is great that it's supports knee to knee for your baby. It just isn't the comfiest carrier and you can getter better once for a similar price. We have since done more research and have much comfort options.
