Nearly ticks all the boxes

I bought this nearly 5 years ago and have used it for 3 bubs.. Had friends borrow it for overseas trips in hot climates (Singapore) and used it for my Clubfoot boy whilst in a full leg plaster cast for his initial treatment. It's essentially been a staple of our family life. I originally chose this ergo because: -ergonomic design that does not put stress on hips, therefore healthy for kids at risk of hip displacia (my kids all had intermittent clicks after they were born but it never progressed to hip displacia thankfully) -suitable for larger people (hubby is a 6ft 3 bully fireman and he wore this with no issues) unlike the original ergo which was only suitable for smaller people - vented design to suit warmer climates - longevity of use (can easily use it to its full weight limit without and discomfort from the wearer) I used it with my bulky 3 year old in costco (unlike baby bjorn models or stretchy wraps which can be uncomfortable with bubs over 12kg) - reasonably affordable compared to Tula etc -easy to put on or take off compared to woven wraps Limitations: - we found bub would get hot quickly with the infant insert - no forward facing option, so for bub with club foot in his 'boots and bar' bracing (not to be confused with hip displacia braces which are different) we pretty much couldn't put him in it as the bar between his feet prevents his legs wrapping around your torso. So overall we loved our ergo performance but ultimately the over heating from the infant insert and the lack of ability to forward face for my Clubfoot boy meant we needed to upgrade to the ergo 360 cool mesh. If he didn't have Clubfoot I probably wouldn't have upgraded though as they only need the infant insert a short while, and I find he's much happier facing inwards getting snuggles than outwards.

Most comfortable carrier

This is hands down the most comfortable carrier I've worn. I've had trouble with other brands hurtingnon my shoulders. This one the weight of bub seems to sit on my hips comfortably. Even after a Caesarian section I was able to wear Bub comfortably with very little irritation.

Life saver!

This carrier saved my life! With a newborn and an energetic 22 month old, I did not know how I was going to cope when the baby needed to be held all day but his brother wanted to run around all day. The best thing I ever did was buy myself this carrier. My baby was close to me, felt comforted and got to bond with me, while the toddler never got left out and I had 2 hands free to look after him. Having a carrier meant I didn't have to lug around a pram when shopping, and it only took seconds to put on. Highly recommended product!

My hubby and I bought this carrier when we were expecting. We have not regretted it once. The carrier ensures excellent hip placement with minimal risk of causing dyplasia. It is comfortable, and easy to put on when by yourself. This carrier has been a saving grace when at places were prams are impractical to use. As a family we go to a lot of sporting events, bush walks, and have found it to be our saving grace. The newborn insert ensures that bin is well supported, but it can handle a tall 3 year old worn on your back just as easily (which we discovered at the easter show when Mr 3 kept crying that he wanted to be carried! Left in the boot of the car, it's been an awesome investment to make "grab and go" adventures possible with a little one!
