We are a Swedish family-owned business, started in 1961 by Björn Jakobson. Our business concept was at the time, and still is: "To make day-to-day life easier for parents of small children by developing safe and innovative products of the highest quality for children up to three years old."
At BabyBjörn, we strive to make day-to-day life easier for families with children around the world and make the most important years of life even more fun. We are curious, constantly see new opportunities and always work on the basis of our unique safety and quality philosophy.
Our products are now found all over the world (in more than 50 countries) and our assortment consists of baby carriers, bouncers, travel cribs, cradles, potty chairs, high chairs and feeding products.
Our attitude is that, instead of having to buy lots of products for their small children, parents should instead only really need to buy a small number, that really work and that will last a long time in good condition.
Safety, quality and design are our core principles and a lot of thought and care is put into every product.
We always develop our products with a long-term perspective. We never compromise on our core values of safety, quality and design, which makes our products durable and means that they can be used for a long time and be passed on from one child to the next. Children should be able to use our products properly as they develop, learn new things and experience new things together with their parents.
We are extremely careful when selecting materials and all of our products undergo rigorous testing. We are very picky when choosing our suppliers, and constantly check to ensure that our high standards are actually being met in all countries. We run tests with internationally-acclaimed and independent testing institutes, such as Swerea, Intertek, SGS, Bureau Veritas and STR, to avoid any hazardous substances in the materials we use.
All of the textiles in our products that come into contact with your child's skin are tested and approved in accordance with Oeko-Tex Standard 100, class 1 , which means that they are free from substances which can be hazardous to health and allergens.
Our organic fabrics also comply with a global textile standard for organic cotton. One of the requirements of this standard is that at least 95%25 of the cotton is organically produced.
