Check your anatomy before purchasing

When I first started feeding, I thought I could probably get by without a pillow. At around 8 weeks my little one started doing acrobatics while feeding and I feared she would fall in between my legs one day. I was reading reviews on this pillow and they all seemed positive, most people saying they wish they had gotten it sooner. The colour I have is the exact same one on the image, it is very stylish and blends in well with my couch. When I started using it, I noticed a significant decrease in my little baby spitting up after feeds and I would like to think that the shape of the pillow helped. This is quite a firm pillow compared to a few in the market which I didn't mind. My little one used it for tummy time and I used this pillow a few times to support myself while my baby slept in my arms. Now the cons: this pillow is too wide to fit my nursing chair (which I probably should have considered prior to purchasing) so I used it everywhere else but my nursing chair. This is one thing I wish the reviews I had read mentioned: check your anatomy before buying a nursing pillow. My anatomy doesn't agree well with the height of this pillow, I took it to my lactation consultant and she pretty much said don't worry about it since my baby ends up too high. In saying that, I persisted using it for a little while, I just had to hold my breast up while feeding my baby (I don't recommend going against your lactation consultant but I felt guilty for having spent the money). My baby is starting to grow out of it so I have been using it a lot less but I would keep it hopefully for my next baby.
