This was the first baby item I ever purchased while I was pregnant! In the first few weeks my baby could only stand to be in it for short periods. I would use it so I could shower and keep an eye on her at the same time. I feel she was too young to be entertained by the toys. In week 9 and 10 of her life she started noticing the toys more and I'm able to keep her in the bouncer for longer. It seems very comfortable for her and I love the newborn insert as it's perfectly moulded to her, easy to adjust and breathable. The bouncer adjusts to different angles of sitting. At the moment as she's so young I use the flattest setting for my baby, so that she's just lying down. We tried using it to settle her while we ate breakfast in the first couple of weeks of her life and it didn't work at all. I would like to see a feature where it can rock on it's own, however I know there are specific bouncers you can get with that feature. A vibrate feature could help as well with settling, and moving toys and sounds. Another thing I would suggest is to make the cover more easily removable. I attempted to remove it several times to wash it, as I bought it second hand, and I was unable to wash anything apart from the newborn insert and the toys. I love the colour of the bouncer as it's neautral and I could use it again if I were to have a boy. I love that it has feet that can be adjusted to keep the bouncer still or to have it rock. It's good that the rocking motion isn't too turbulent as it seems safer, however I feel it wouldn't settle a baby that likes to be rocked more vigorously, like mine. Now that my baby can see the toys she can happily sit in the bouncer, but maybe for 15 minutes at a time as she doesn't like to be sitting still, and even the rocking isn;t enough for her. I'm happy with the bouncer as I can use it for entertaining her for short periods of time while I'm in the shower or getting dressed; and can use it to have her sit and chat to me, and look in the wardrobe mirrors that we have. I like that the toys have a soft ''bobble'' at the top to attach it to the arch as it's easy to take them off and put them back on again; and doesn't hurt baby if she was to hold the toy to chew on it. The toys were easy to clean and both the toys and insert dried quickly on a clothes horse outside. The bouncer seems very durable seeing as I bought it second hand and it went through two children before me; and was still in excellent condition. It is nicely padded and I feel good knowing my baby is sitting in something ergonomic and relaxing. I would recommend the bouncer for other mums out there!
